Elisa Data & Analytics department is responsible for development of large-scale analytics to various Elisa’s business needs. We are focusing on learning how to support our customers better and want to enhance experiences in our customers’ everyday life.
We’re looking for a Senior Development Manager for the Elisa’s Data & Analytics team to work together with our talented Data professionals and to lead the development and implementation of our strategic competence in data management, analytics, governance and culture.
In this role, you will be leading the data strategy, governance, data applications and support the creation of roadmaps that consider the people, processes, and technologies required to meet existing operational and future needs.
Your main tasks:
- Acting as a bridge between data and analytics team and business and technology stakeholders to maximize the utilization of data and analytics and creating best practices on data and analytics usage across the company
- Responsibility for the company-wide analytics use case portfolio and business case ROI calculation
- Define and report of success metrics for the data strategy
- Data strategy development and communication across the organization
- Data-related strategic planning, prioritization, and resourcing
- Leading the measurement of business impact for data and analytics development activities
- Developing new processes and ways of working to support of more efficient data and analytics operations
You will report and work as the “right hand” of the Chief Data Officer, act as a Data & Analytics competence lead and be an active member of the D&A leadership team.
This position can be located in Helsinki or for example Tampere if you are regularly willing to travel to Pasila.
What we expect from you:
- Solid experience in hands-on data strategy and data capability development roles in large organizations as a consultant, data strategist or internal development manager
- Significant experience with data management and analytics projects and in creating data strategy, data development roadmaps, project plans and business cases
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, big data infrastructure and advanced analytics
- Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) complex data-related topics with both business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to understand business drivers and operations
- Great collaboration skills and relationship building capabilities
- Good interactive skills and fluent proficiency in English (and Finnish is a plus).
- A suitable university degree
We also appreciate:
- Advanced visual and verbal presentation skills (management presentations, Power Point)
- Ability to understand organization culture, dynamics and how to create positive change
- Enthusiasm to take responsibility for the progress of strategic development and get things done in a complex and diverse work environment
- A previous experience with influencing and aligning stakeholders to achieve complex, often conflicting goals across organizational boundaries
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines with a proactive mindset
- Comfort with working under high pressures and tight time constraints
- Extremely well organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Have a high willingness to learn new subject matter, skills and technologies
