No worries, the time of transfer can be changed. We recommend you change the activation date of your number to the next business day following the end of your fixed-term subscription.
Follow these instructions:
First, check the duration of your fixed-term subscription from your old operator’s invoice or self-service system. If your current subscription is for a fixed term, we recommend you choose the activation date of your number for the next business day following the end of your current subscription. You can even choose to transfer the number a year later.

You can transfer your number already when the fixed-term subscription is still valid, but you will then have to pay the remaining months of your old subscription to the former operator.
You have made an order for a subscription that is under another operator and owned by someone else than you.
Nothing to worry about: we simply need the approval of the subscription’s current owner in order to complete the number transfer and owner change. In order to complete the transfer, we will send you a text message and email with a link to a page where you can send an electronic approval request to the current subscription owner. Once the current owner has approved of the transfer, the number transfer will proceed. After the number has been transferred, you will be the owner of the Elisa subscription.

As the orderer of the number transfer, you will receive a text message once the current owner of the subscription has submitted the electronic approval. After this, the number transfer will proceed.
If you cannot use online banking credentials or a mobile certificate:
You can print a power of attorney in paper from below. In order for the number transfer to be completed, the power of attorney must be signed by the current owner of the number and by its recipient (you)t.

The power of attorney contains return instructions. We will send a confirmation by text message to the number to be transferred once we have processed the power of attorney.

Log in at omaelisa.fi/tilaukset.
Choose the subscription order in question and select “Vaihda liittymän avausaikaa”.
Change the date to the day following the end of your fixed-term subscription, or another date you want, and confirm the change.
All phone numbers with a valid subscription agreement can be transferred.
You cannot transfer a fax, data or voicemail numbers, unless they have their own subscription agreement. A prepaid subscription number cannot be transferred, unless you have made an agreement for it. In Elisa Saunalahti, Latausliitymä is a prepaid subscription with an agreement.
You need to transfer any numbers saved on the old SIM card to the new SIM card. Copy the contact details first to the phone’s memory and then to the new SIM card.

With most phone models, you can also transfer contact details on a computer with the device manufacturer’s software.
The number transfer and switching to a new SIM card can also be done abroad. You should take the new SIM card with you on the trip and keep it close when the time to transfer is near.
