Frequently asked questions about the OmaElisa app

You log in to the app every time you use it. You can sign in to the OmaElisa app using:

  • With a PIN code
  • Fingerprint or facial recognition
  • Bank credentials
  • Elisa ID (email address)
  • Mobile certificate

If you don’t yet have an Elisa ID, you can create one on the OmaElisa login page.

NOTE! Starting from weeks 5–6, after the new app version is released, you will log in to the app either with a new PIN code or with fingerprint or facial recognition. Read more about logging in with a PIN code >​

Starting from weeks 5-6, we will introduce the desired and secure PIN code login to the application. After that, you will be able to log in to the app using biometric authentication (fingerprint or Face ID) or a PIN code.

Why are we introducing a PIN code to the OmaElisa app?

PIN code is a quick and secure way to log in to the app, and you will no longer need to use, for example, your bank credentials. We are implementing this login method based on our customer feedback.

When will I be able to use the PIN code?

You will receive your PIN code in the next version of the app, which will be available at the app store starting from weeks 5-6. The latest version of the app will be released to customers in stages, so please be patient. 

How do I create my PIN code?

The app will ask you to create a six-digit PIN code after logging in and then to confirm the code. It's quick and easy!

I haven't received the new app version. How can I download it?

When the app version is available for your device, it will appear in the app store. Many devices update to the latest version automatically. The new app version will be available starting in weeks 5-6. If you don't use the app during that time, don't worry, you'll get your PIN code the next time you log in after the new app version has been downloaded.

Can I continue to use facial or fingerprint recognition?

Yes. If you use biometric authentication (Face ID or fingerprint recognition), it will still be the primary option, and you can continue to use it.

What should I do if I forget my PIN code?

If you have forgotten your PIN code, you can log in to the app via the "Forgot your PIN code?" -link, which will allow you to create a new PIN code and confirm it after authentication.

You can also change your PIN code in the app by going to More > Settings > Change PIN code. The app will then guide you through logging out and updating your PIN.

What do fingerprint and facial recognition mean?

Fingerprint and facial recognition (Face ID) are biometric authentication methods used in the OmaElisa app for secure access. Fingerprint recognition scans and compares your fingerprint to a stored version, while facial recognition analyzes facial features such as the eyes, nose, and mouth to verify identity.

How to enable fingerprint or facial recognition?

You can activate these features anytime in the OmaElisa app under More > Settings > Fingerprint and face recognition.


As a user of the OmaElisa app, you can subscribe to push notifications about incoming invoices, important prize draws, and offers, which will be sent directly to your smartphone or tablet.

You can choose which notifications you want to receive:

  • Elisa Etuohjelma: Get information about the Elisa Etuohjelma and its benefits and offers.
  • New invoice: You will receive notifications about new invoices. 
  • Offers and Lotteries: You will receive information about new offers and lotteries.
  • Customer relationship: Notifications about current issues related to products and the app.

How do I activate notifications?

Open the OmaElisa app and select More > Settings > Notifications. Accept the notifications you want to receive. You can also change your notification settings there later.



With OmaElisa app you can, for example

  • Browse the invoice balance and call itemizations of your subscriptions
  • View the invoicing situation of your subscriptions and Elisa products and services (open and paid invoices)
  • Pay invoices and apply for extended payment time, if needed
  • Change the block services for your subscriptions (text message and mobile payment blocks, call blocks, abroad usage blocks)
  • Check the PUK code for your subscription
  • Close your subscription temporarily
  • Check information on disruptions in Elisa's services
  • View and change the PIN code or change password for Elisa Viihde services (elisaviihde.fi and the Elisa Viihde app)
  • Measure the speed of your broadband connection
  • Check your personal offers in OmaElisa

In the OmaElisa app you can only see information about the subscriptions and services of which you are a named owner.
