Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä (multiSIM) instructions

• Apple Watch (Cellular) smartwatch.
• Apple iPhone 6 or later and always the latest software version available.
• An Elisa phone subscription with 4G calls (VoLTE).
  

Here's how to enable the Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä add-on service for your Apple Watch:

1. Pair your Apple Watch with the Watch app on your iPhone.
2. On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
3. Select MyWatch or My Apple Watch.
4. Select Set Up Cellular or mobile network.
5. Log in to OmaElisa on your iPhone with your Elisa ID or Mobile Certificate.
6. Choose a Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä agreement 
   
7. Confirm your order.
8. The watch then charges the subscription, after which you can use it.

Order Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä from Elisa's online store. Use the QR code in OmaElisa to activate the eSIM card for the parallel connection.

Order Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä for a second or watch phone from Elisa's online store. You can choose either a traditional SIM card or an eSIM for your subscription.

Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä with a traditional SIM card is available as soon as you receive your SIM card.  Parallel subscription with eSIM requires activation of the subscription in OmaElisa with a QR-code, see eSIM subscription and activation for more details.

•  You can subscribe to one parallel subscription for one main subscription
• Incoming calls and text messages are routed to the main subscription and to the Elisa Parallel subscription at the same time. Make sure that the subscription does not fall into the wrong hands.
• The pricing of the parallel subscriptions (calls, messages, roaming) follows the pricing of the main subscription and the use of the parallel subscriptions consumes any packages on the main subscription.
  

With a block (temporary lock), you can prevent access to the Rinnakkaisliittymä, for example if a device is lost. When you find the device, you can unblock it yourself in OmaElisa.

Adding and removing blocking:

1. Log in to OmaElisa.
2. Select the main subscription for which you have subscribed to Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä.
3. Select connected devices and additional services.
4. Select Edit.
5. Press Temporary block.

1. To enable international roaming, open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
   
2. Tap Mobile data, then turn on Dataroaming.
   

Please note that you must also be allowed to use your subscription abroad. You can edit your subscription blocks in OmaElisa.

In other situations, the watch can also be used abroad with a Bluetooth connection.

Other smartwatches and phones

When using a Rinnakkaisliittymä abroad, the main subscriber must be travelling with you in order to make calls to Finland.

Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä (multiSIM) is available for Apple Watch smartwatches (Cellular models) and other eSIM-enabled smartwatches. Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä can also be subscribed to a second phone or a watch phone.

Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä is not intended for use with tablets, routers or other smart devices in the home that do not support normal calls. In such cases, calls may be completely blocked on the main connection and on the parallel connection.

For which subscriptions is Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä available?

The service is only available on Elisa subscriptions for consumer customers. The subscriber must have active Elisa 4G calls (VoLTE).

The service is not available for prepaid, home phone, payphone, mobile broadband or download subscriptions, nor for business customers with a consumer subscription. More information about the Elisa MultiSIM service for business customers.

Does WhatsApp work on my Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä?

To set up WhatsApp on additional phones, after downloading the WhatsApp app, you can choose to link to an existing account, instead of the usual sign-in with a phone number. This generates a QR code that is scanned on the main device of the WhatsApp account.

I've lost my phone/smartwatch, what should I do?

You can add denial of access to your co-subscription from OmaElisa. See detailed instructions on how to add an access blocker.

Please note that blocking access to the main subscription also prevents access to the parallel interface.

Can I transfer my Elisa Rinnakkaisliittymä to another device?

Upon termination of the main subscription contract, the associated additional Rinnakkaisliittymä service will also be automatically terminated.

Note! Removing the pairing from the phone does not terminate the contract.

What mobile networks does Apple Watch support?

Apple Watch works on a 4G network and with a WLAN/WiFi connection.

Why didn't my text message arrive on my Apple Watch?

Messages are routed to the main subscription on your phone, where your phone forwards them to Apple Watch. Please keep your phone on even when you're not near it.
