The settings are correct by default and do not need to be edited. If you wish, you can edit and manage the default settings of the device via the management interface or the ZTELink application.

The SIM card slot is located on the bottom of the device. Insert the smallest nano SIM card. Then plug in the power cord, the device will start to search for a network connection.
If you wish, you can change the network settings of the ZTE MC888 Pro 5G router via the device's management interface at http://192.168.100.1. To use Elisa's standalone 5G network, you will need a 5G+ connection and a device that supports the new network. 5G+ connections work with the ZTE MC888 Pro 5G device.

1. Log in by entering your username and password and press Sign in
2. From the home page, open My Router under Settings
3. Open Connection settings > Network selection
4. Select automatic mode 5G/4G/3G and take advantage of all Elisa's 5G networks in your area and click Apply to save the setting. If necessary, restart your router.

Enabling a public IP address (APN address change)

Checking signal strengths
You can check the signal strengths by logging into your device's management interface and going to Advanced > Other > Network Status from the home page.

Timed restart
The router usually has a timed reboot of the system automatically selected. When you log in to the management interface for the first time, the quick guide will ask you to confirm the reboot schedule. From the home page of the management interface, under Advanced > Other > Restart, you can edit this setting. Remember to save your changes by pressing Apply. Please note, however, that it is advisable to restart the device from time to time.


Switching off the indicator light
You can set the indicator light to turn off and on automatically at a set time, for example if you don't want the light to come on at night. Log in to the device control page and from the home page, select Green status > Indicator > Set it

Network selection
You can select a network by logging in to the management interface and selecting My router from the home page > Settings > Network selection > Use

Once the router is connected to the mobile data network, you can connect your computer or mobile phone to the router's WiFi network to access the internet. See the Wi-Fi Name and Wi-Fi Password on the router's bottom sticker. The device also supports NFC. When connecting to an NFC-enabled phone, follow the phone's instructions to connect to WiFi without a password.

Change wireless network name and password
You can edit the wireless network name (SSID) and change the password from the device management interface at http://192.168.100.1. From the home page, select Wi-Fi Settings > Primary SSID. Finally, remember to save your changes by selecting Apply.

Changing Wifi (WLAN) settings
Wifi settings, such as frequency, can be edited from the device manager. Log in to the device management interface and from the home page, select Wi-Fi settings > Advanced.

Automatic updates
You can check that your device has automatic updates enabled from the device management interface at http://192.168.100.1. Log in to the management and from the home page, select Advanced > Update.

If your internet connection is weak, intermittent or non-existent, you should reset your device to factory settings.
It is also recommended to reset the device to factory defaults after a software update if there are problems with the device. This is because updates may leave settings from the previous software version in the device's memory, which are only erased when the device is reset.You can also perform a factory reset from the device management interface at http://192.168.100.1. Log in to the device management interface and from the home page, select Advanced > Other > Reset.
