Prepaid
subscriptions have until now had the feature of using the internet connection
from the subscription balance only in the 4G network (0.99 € / day). You can
now take advantage of the faster 5G network and order a 5G network-enabled
internet connection for 1.29 € / day. (The typical speed range in the 4G
network is 5 - 100 Mbit / s and in the 5G network 10 - 300 Mbit / s.)
The minimum order period for the 5G internet connection is one month (31 days). Please note that if the subscription has another internet package active, ordering a 5G connection will not work. You can re-order after the current package expires. You can replace the 5G connection in the middle of the minimum order period when you order an internet package for the same subscription.

You can see the status of your Prepaid subscription in the PREPAID Shop (when you access the store on a mobile device, for example, on a mobile phone) and after a first charge (if you use any other internet connection). The PREPAID Shop uses cookies so the next time you don’t need to enter your phone number separately.
You can ask for a subscription balance and the period of validity of the subscription easily by sending the word TILI by text message to 18258. The enquiry is free of charge.
To check the status of your orders, send the text message STATUS to the number 15020. You will also receive a reminder message six hours prior to the expiry of the weekly or monthly package.
You will receive Prepaid eSIM activation instructions by email (Order Confirmation) after placing your order.
Activation using QR -code
The easiest way to activate your eSIM is to print the QR code you received by email or open the QR code on the screen of another device. Then read the QR code on the device for which you want to activate the subscription.

The Prepaid subscription PIN is by default 1234.
Prepaid with normal SIM card: Retain your Prepaid starter kit, as the Prepaid PUK code can only be found on the SIM card frame.
Prepaid with eSIM: retain your Prepaid order confirmation, as as the Prepaid PUK code can only be found there.
It is not possible to get the PUK code for a Prepaid subscription via OmaElisa or Elisa’s customer service. If your phone requests a PUK code and you no longer have access to the card frame, the Prepaid subscription can no longer be used.

The APN in our Prepaid subscriptions, required as Internet Access Point, is internet. Check your phone or tablet settings in case the internet connection or MMS messages are not working on your device.
Data transfer speed depends, for example, on the selected service, location, available network technology, signal strength, disturbance level, device characteristics and network load. Additionally, geographic conditions may impose local restrictions on network coverage.
You can buy a Elisa PREPAID Nettiasema at any R-Kiosk (FI). More information on this product can be found from Elisa's webshop (FI). The Prepaid Nettipaketti 4G starter kit includes a Huawei E5576 4G mobile router.

Checking your account balance and usage abroad
To check your usage abroad, open your phone and "dial" *100#.
From December 11th 2019 on, new activated Unlimited 4G -packages include the management of unfair Internet roaming usage in Nordic/Baltic countries. If Internet roaming usage reaches 50 Gb, the Internet roaming speed will be limited to max. 0,5 Mbit/s in Nordic/Baltic countries till the end of Unlimited 4G -package period. Elisa Prepaid user instructions
As a Elisa Prepaid customer, you will also have access to a useful text message service that will forward information about Elisa’s and Elisa's partner companies’ products, customer benefits and offers. You can disable these messages by sending the text message STOP to the number 18258. Note! Notifications about your subscription, customer surveys and service messages about recharges or additional services will still continue to come through.
Other things to note
You can order voicemail service or set blocks for calls or SMSs to service numbers by contacting our customer service. In order for the changes to be made, you will need to know the PUK code of your subscription. The Prepaid PUK code can only be found on the SIM card frame.
From your Elisa Prepaid you can not access the numbers beginning with:
Calls and SMSs to these numbers are barred as required by the law, as they are meant for buying things like groceries, magazines and car washes. You can, however, use your Elisa Prepaid to purchase digitally delivered services, such as contents and entertainment, and you can also participate in making donations by telephone.
You can change the physical SIM card of the Elisa Prepaid subscription to a new one in Elisa's store.

NOTE! It is not possible to change the eSIM card of a Prepaid subscription without changing the number. The eSIM card is device-specific.
