On this page you can find instructions on how to use Saunalahti Prepaid. First change your Prepaid subscription language to English by sending SMS message ENGLISH to the number 18258 from your own Prepaid SIM card.


Where can I buy Saunalahti Prepaid?

Saunalahti Prepaid is available at Elisa webshop (FI).

Recharging balance or buying packages (calls/SMS/data) to your Prepaid subscrption

Our Prepaid subscription does not include invoices or monthly fees; the use of the subscription is fully paid in advance. You can recharge more balance and buy data and combination packages (calls/data/SMS) at the PREPAID Store (you can change language to English from the right corner of the page) and at R-Kiosks everywhere in Finland.

You can also recharge balance at Otto. ATMs, Elisa's Stores, S-Group's stores, K-Markets and Shell/ST1 service stations. >> See the full download instructions (FI).

If you are recharging your balance with a coupon, check the recharge code (15 digits long) from the coupon and send the text message LATAA [insert download code here] from your Prepaid subscription to the number 18258.

Checking the validity of your balance or subscription period

You can see the status of your Prepaid subscription in the PREPAID Store (when you access the store on a mobile device, for example, on a mobile phone) and after a first charge (if you use any other internet connection). The PREPAID Store uses cookies so the next time you don’t need to enter your phone number separately.

You can also check the status of your subscription by sending a free-of-charge text message TILI to the number 18258.

The Prepaid subscription is valid for 3 months from the first day of use. As of each recharge, the subscription is valid for 12 months. A text message is sent to the subscription before the end of the validity, asking you to recharge additional balance or to purchase a new package.

PIN and PUK code

The Prepaid subscription PIN is by default 1234.

Retain your Prepaid starter kit, as the Prepaid PUK code can only be found on the SIM card frame.

It is not possible to get the PUK code for a Prepaid subscription via OmaElisa or Elisa’s customer service. If your phone requests a PUK code and you no longer have access to the card frame, the Prepaid subscription can no longer be used.

The use of data packages and internet service

You can order a fixed price web package at the PREPAID Store (you can change language to English from the right corner of the page), R-Kiosk or via a text message. You can check the prices for the available packages and ordering instructions here (FI).

The APN in our Prepaid subscriptions, required as Internet Access Point, is internet. Check your phone or tablet settings in case the internet connection or MMS messages are not working on your device.

Data transfer speed depends, for example, on the selected service, location, available network technology, signal strength, disturbance level, device characteristics and network load. Additionally, geographic conditions may impose local restrictions on network coverage.

You can buy a Saunalahti PREPAID Nettiasema at any R-Kiosk. More information on this product can be found here (FI). The Prepaid Nettipaketti 4G starter kit includes a Huawei E5573 4G mobile router. Instructions for using the device are available here (FI).

The use of Saunalahti Prepaid abroad

Saunalahti Prepaid also works in the Åland Islands and abroad. You can see the list of countries and the pricelist for abroad use here (FI).

As a Saunalahti Prepaid customer, you will also have access to a useful text message service that will forward information about Elisa’s and Elisa's partner companies’ products, customer benefits and offers. You can disable these messages by sending the text message STOP to the number 18258. Note! Notifications about your subscription, customer surveys and service messages about recharges or additional services will still continue to come through.

Other things to note

Prepaid subscriptions cannot be registered in one’s own name or to one's personal identity number, and the number cannot be transferred to another operator.

You can change the language of your subscription by sending the word SUOMI, SVENSKA or ENGLISH by text message to the number 18258.

Additional services: voicemail and blocks for calls or SMSs to service numbers

You can order voicemail service or set blocks for calls or SMSs to service numbers by contacting our customer service. In order for the changes to be made, you will need to know the PUK code of your subscription. The Prepaid PUK code can only be found on the SIM card frame.

From your Saunalahti Prepaid you can not access the numbers beginning with:

  • 0606
  • 0707
  • 0708
  • 169
  • 177
  • 178

Calls and SMSs to these numbers are barred as required by the law, as they are meant for buying things like groceries, magazines and car washes. You can, however, use your Saunalahti Prepaid to purchase digitally delivered services, such as contents and entertainment, and you can also participate in making donations by telephone.
